Who We’re Looking For:

Requirements:
- Experience preferred, but we will train the right person!
- Availability Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Availability to work early morning shifts for General Anesthesia appointments as needed [Start time 5:30AM].
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication.
- Full-time role (32+ hours per week).
- State licensure/certification required prior to start date.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Ability to work independently and work in a timely manner.
- Ability to speak English & Spanish is preferred.
- X-Ray, CDA, RDA, EFDA, or EDDA certification is a plus.
- Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
- Graduation from a dental assisting school is a plus.
Job Description:
- Completing Dental Prophylactic Cleanings, flossing, x-ray capture, application of dental sealants independently following adequate training.
- Assisting dentists in the operatory space while completing fillings, pulpotomies, extractions, installation of dental crowns and space maintainers.
- Assisting dentists during sedation appointments for patients under General Anesthesia.
- Contributing to office operations by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, and verifying insurance coverage when needed.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA privacy laws.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records including clinical history, accurate description of dental health conditions, and accurate description of appointment procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of clinical and common areas in accordance with infection control standards.
- Communicate dental procedures clearly and thoroughly to patients, parents, and guardians to ensure fully-informed care and consent to dental procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday [Saturdays Occasionally]
- 8-hour shifts
- Daytime hours – No nights!
- Occasional Early Morning shift for General Anesthesia Appointments [5:30 AM start time]
- General Anesthesia dates are scheduled in advance with significant notice
