**Job Summary:**
The Ortho Assistant will work alongside orthodontists to assist in providing orthodontic care to patients. This role involves preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, taking X-rays, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or associate degree in dental assisting preferred
- X-ray certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures
- Assist orthodontists during patient consultations and treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the orthodontist
- Sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions
- Maintain patient records and documentation accurately
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Follow all safety and health regulations to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
