**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a part-time Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and support our orthodontists in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. The Ortho Assistant will be responsible for assisting with orthodontic procedures, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or associate degree in dental assisting preferred
- X-ray certification required
- Previous experience working in a dental office, preferably in orthodontics
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist orthodontists during dental procedures, including preparing and maintaining equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures and ensure all instruments are sterilized
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records accurately
- Perform office tasks such as answering phones, handling billing, and maintaining supplies
