Dental Hygienist

Department: Hygienist
Location: Kuna, ID

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing personalized care to patients, performing dental cleanings and screenings, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting dental health and wellness.

Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup, applying fluoride treatments, and polishing teeth
- Conduct comprehensive oral screenings to assess patients' oral health and identify any potential issues or abnormalities
- Take dental X-rays as needed and assist the dentist in diagnosing and treating dental conditions
- Educate and instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and practices to improve their dental health
- Administer local anesthesia and perform other dental tasks under the supervision of the dentist
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and dental charts
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas to ensure a clean and sterile environment
- Assist the dental team with various procedures and perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Idaho
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and explain complex dental concepts in a clear manner
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- CPR certification is preferred
