Job Summary

The Dental Hygienist provides oral care such as debridement, hand scaling and regular cleanings to patients and provides them with information to assist with developing and maintaining good oral health. Dental Hygienists build trust with patients of all ages and have a have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Key Responsibilities

. • Chart conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the Dentist with diagnostic quality radiographs. Based on Doctor’s diagnosis, implement individualized dental care plans for patients.

• Deliver high quality patient care using established dental hygiene best practices. Perform routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants and fluorides, and related procedures.

• Use patient screening procedures to include medical history review, dental charting. Take patient vital signs and document per Dentist’s set expectations.

• Set up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines. Maintain and sterilize dental equipment following OSHA guidelines

. • Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients, under Dentist’s instructions.

• Perform patient education, discharge planning and patient/family teaching under the supervision of the Dentist.

• Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel

. • Prepare reports and assist with patient reception, telephone calls, routine triage and other office duties as required.

• Attend required compliance and team trainings. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

• Associate degree from accredited dental hygiene program or equivalent number of years of experience is required. Bachelor’s degree from accredited dental hygiene program or directly related clinical field is preferred.

• A valid dental hygiene license required.

• Current CPR certification is required.

• Must have a thorough knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

• The ability to learn dental software, such as Denticon, is required.

• The ability to demonstrate high ethical standards is required.

Job Type: Full-time - This is a 36-hour/week position Monday-Thursday 7:45AM-5:00PM Friday 7:45AM-12:00PM or Part Time available

Pay: Based off candidates experience and qualifications PLUS $500 Sign on Bonus!
