Dental Assistant

Department: Clinical
Location: Omaha, NE

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will perform a variety of patient care and office duties. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our patients. The candidate we are seeking is bilingual and has ortho experience.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision, and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays, as instructed by the dentist
-Assist the orthodontist with starts and adjustments
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control guidelines
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and coordinating treatment plans
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and stocked with supplies at all times

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assistant program is required.

-Current dental radiography certification and coronal polishing certification is required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant is required
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Proficient computer skills and experience with dental software is a plus
