The Patient Services Coordinator I plays a vital role in providing administrative support and excellent customer service in a healthcare setting. This position involves scheduling appointments, greeting patients, verifying insurance information, and assisting with inquiries to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures efficiently
- Greet and check-in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect co-payments
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct messages to appropriate staff
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of personal and insurance information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and team members to coordinate patient care
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to compliance regulations and procedures
Pay Rate: 18-19/hr
